Discovered in the late 1940’s, GRP was adopted during the 50’s and 60’s for a wide range of applications where its corrosive-proof properties combined with its high strength, robustness and attractive appearance proved invaluable. Since initially being used for boat building, the commercial applications for GRP have widened prolifically. Today it’s a standard material in the construction of small craft, water tanks, building cladding panels, roof lights and high performance waterproof coatings.
